To those of you who are using the calculator for non-educational purposes (e.g. Personally I don't really care for such functionality. The TI Nspire appears to be an education product.
Would you say the Nspire is a good calculator for that usage? The second is kind of like a poor mans MATLAB substitute for when I don't have a computer with me, which means graphing, numerically solving equations and differential equations and running programs in python snippets, ideally using numpy and scipy (I am unsure whether this is possible). The first is to make my life easier when I need to crunch some numbers, wherein I am looking for speed and ease of use. In essence, I am going to be using this calculator for two things.Man are calculators complex nowadays! I have a few questions I was hoping you lot could help me with to decide whether this calculator is a good fit for me. I've been looking into the Ti Nspire CX-II CAS. I am going to be starting my PhD soon and I am looking for a replacement for my TI-30x Pro which has carried me throughout my university years.
